URGENT VISA

 

An emergency visa is a visa that youurgentlyneeds to come to the Netherlands. For example, if you are dealing with an emergency, such as a seriously ill family member in the Netherlands and you do not have time for the normal procedure.

An emergency visavalid for a maximum of 90 days.

 

With an emergency visa you do not have to report to the immigration police, but once your 90-day stay has expired, you must leave the Netherlands again.

APPLY FOR AN EMERGENCY VISA

 

 

If a person requiring a visa wants to visit his family in the Netherlands due to the death or terminal illness of a person residing in the Netherlands, an emergency visa can be applied for. An emergency visa is usually not a Schengen visa and only gives access to the Netherlands.

An emergency visa can only be applied for for a 1st or 2nd degree relative of the person

in the Netherlands who is terminally ill or deceased:

  • Parents, children, brothers and sisters

  • Grandparents

  • Brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law, sons-in-law/daughters-in-law and fathers-in-law/mothers-in-law

  • Stepparents and stepchildren, stepbrothers/stepsisters.                                                                                

 

 

EXTEND AN EMERGENCY VISA

CONDITIONS FOR AN EMERGENCY VISA

 

When applying for an emergency visa, there are a number of conditions that you must meet:

  • you have a valid travel document such as a passport;

  • youneeds a visa due to illness or deathfrom a family member in the Netherlands;

  • youor a third person has sufficient financial resourcesof existence for the duration of your stay in the Netherlands;

  • youcan prove that you are returning to the country of origin via a return ticket;

  • youare not a danger to public order;

  • youhas no signaling within the Schengen area;

  • youmust take out travel insurance for the entire duration of the trip; the coverage for medical costs must be at least € 30,000

Emergency visa costs

 

There are costs associated with an emergency visa application. Clickhere for more information about the amount of the fees. You pay these costs to the IND to process the application.

 

You also pay for the work of Immigration Services the Netherlands. We charge a fixed amount of€299 excluding VAT per emergency visa application. We will take care of your application and guide you throughout the entire procedure up to and including your arrival in the Netherlands.

Is your application unexpectedly rejected? We will file an objection free of charge for you when your emergency visa application has been submitted by Immigration Services or provide an urgent Schengen visa application instead of an emergency visa application.

Step 2 - Payment

Complete your registration by completing the registration form. You can then pay for the visa application safely online using one of the payment methods: iDeal (most commonly chosen payment method), PayPal or credit card (Mastercard / Visa). 

Step 3 - Confirm

As soon as we have received your registration via our website, we will confirm the order by e-mail through a written order confirmation. After creating the file and confirming the assignment, we will start working on your case.

You will receive an email from us with what you need to create a file. We store your data in our system. This information will not be provided to third parties and is only intended for the assignment and processing of the necessary forms and documents.

After receiving the required documents for the emergency visa application, we aim to submit the application to the Immigration and Naturalization Service within one working day.

Thedecision periodof the IND1 - 3 working days. The issuance of the emergency visa at the Dutch embassy or consulate takes several hours to one working day.
