AShort Stay Visa (type C visa) alsoSchengen visais a visa sticker in a foreigner's passport.

 

This visa isvalid for a maximum of 90 days and provides access to the 26 countries of the Schengen area, including the Netherlands.

A Short Stay Visa is possible for different purposes

A Single entry or Multiple entry Schengen visa

There are two types of short-stay visas:

  1. A single-entry visa with a validity of up to 90 days. This allows you to stay in the Netherlands/Schengen area once for a maximum of 90 days. Do you leave the Schengen area while     If the validity period has not yet expired, a new Short Stay Visa will have to be applied for if you want to re-enter the Schengen area.                                                                                                                                                                                                        

  2. A multiple-entry visa (MEV) with a validity of 1 to a maximum of 5 years. This allows travel freely within the entire Schengen area and you can also enter the Schengen area several times     traveling in and out. The visa holder does not have to cancel the 90 days in one goe take'. If he has a so-called multiple entry visa, he may enter as many times as        he wants to travel to the Schengen area, as long as the total number of days of stay within the Schengen area does not exceed 90 days.

Generally, a multiple entry visa is issued with a validity of up to 180 days. The total stay within the validity of the visa may not last longer than the period stated on the visa.

How long is a Schengen visa valid?

A Short Stay Visa, or Schengen visamaximum 90 days valid but you can get the visa within oneuse a period of 180 days, this is called the free period. During that period you may leave and re-enter the Schengen area without restriction.

You also do not have to register with the immigration police if you are staying for less than 90 days.(!)If you   want to work with a Schengen visa during your stay in the Netherlands, a work permit is still legally required. We can help you with a work permit.

Whether you have oneSchengen visa depends, among other things, on your nationality, destination and duration of stay. Do you have more than 1 nationality? Then the passport you travel with determines whether you need a Schengen visa.

Nationalities that are not subject to a visa requirement

There are 62 nationalities that are allowed to visit the Netherlands and the other Schengen countries without a visa. Nevertheless, there are also conditions and rules that must be adhered to for these nationalities, such as the obligation to take out medical travel insurance.

 

From the end of 2021, things have changed for visa-exempt travelers who want to travel to the EU or the Schengen area. Foreign travelers now have to deal with itEuropean travel information and authorization system (European travel information and authorization system – ETIAS). The ETIAS system applies to visa-exempt third-country nationals. A visa-exempt traveler who:

If you want to travel to the EU or the Schengen area, you must apply for a travel authorization online before traveling.

For each application, the applicant will be required to pay a travel authorization fee of €7.

Apply for a Schengen visa

 

You can apply for a Schengen visa for the Netherlands at the Dutch embassy or consulate in the country where you live. You can also apply at an embassy of another Schengen country where the Netherlands is represented in the country where you live.

 

The processing of the visa application takes one or a few days up to a maximum of 15 calendar days.

This period can be extended to ​30 calendar days if further investigation is necessary. In exceptional cases, an investigation may take up to 60 calendar days.

Conditions for Schengen visa application

 

✓        You have a valid travel document, for example a passport. The travel document must be submitted after

            are still valid for 3 months at the end of the visa period. It may also not be older than 10 years.

✓        You have at least €55 per person per day for the duration of your stay in the Netherlands;            

            or someone in the Netherlands will act as guarantor for you. This can be the inviting referent but also a 

            random third person. The guarantor hassufficient and sustainable income. The referent

            uses the formEvidence of guarantee and/or private accommodation including the

            additional documents listed under checklist.

         You have (medical) travel insurance taken out in your name. You take out the insurance

            your country of origin (or another country). The person you invite may also have the insurance

            for you in the Netherlands. The insurance has coverage of at least €30,000

            medical costs in itSchengen area and covers at least the following costs:

           

    • Costs for return to country of origin for medical reasons.

    • Urgent medical care.

    • Emergency treatment in hospital.

✓         You have sufficient reasons to return to your country of origin or residence. For example because

            you work there, have (school-age) children or own your own home. A return ticket alone is not enough.

        You are not a danger to public order, national security or international relations

            from one of the Schengen countries.

Cost of procedure

There are costs associated with a Schengen visa application. Thefees of a Schengen visa application amounts€80 per request,forchildren of6 to 12 years € 40,- andThe visa is free for children up to 6 years old.You pay these costs to VFS Global/the Dutch embassy or consulate to process the application.

 

You also pay for the work of Immigration Services the Netherlands. We use a

fixed amount of€299 excluding VAT per Schengen visa application. We will take care of your application and guide you throughout the entire procedure up to and including your arrival in the Netherlands.

Is your application unexpectedly rejected? We will file an objection for you free of charge when your request is submitted

Step 3 - Confirm

As soon as we have received your registration via our website, we will confirm the order by e-mail
