The highly skilled migrant visa Netherlands, also known as the Dutch knowledge migrant scheme (Kennismigrant), allows international professionals to live and work in the Netherlands for an employer that is registered as a recognised sponsor with the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).

What is the highly skilled migrant scheme?
The highly skilled migrant scheme is designed to enable Dutch employers to recruit highly qualified international professionals efficiently. This residence permit is widely used by Dutch companies recruiting international talent and by multinational organisations transferring highly qualified employees to the Netherlands.
The residence permit allows foreign employees to live and work in the Netherlands, provided that the employer meets the requirements applicable to recognised sponsors. The scheme is one of the most commonly used immigration routes for international employees relocating to the Netherlands.

Extension of the highly skilled migrant residence permit
